Parts of Speech-English Grammar

Introduction: 


English is the international/Global language, to understand its. You must be understood its word structure/Class.  From it birth to up to now, it has many changes. It has been categorized in nine parts, which is called parts of speech or word classes. Sometime its has been categorized in  8 or 10 Parts of Speech. But mostly divide it in 9 Parts of speech/word Classes.




Categories:


Verb                                    


Eat, watch, sleep, was, were, would etc.

Noun:                                 

Canada, japan, boy, cot, stars,  etc.

Adjective                            

Cold, hot, beautiful, weak, long etc.

Determiner/Articles:          

a, an, the, time, some, etc.

Adverb:                              

 Lastly, swiftly, quickly, genetically, too, etc. 

Pronoun:                            

I, you, him, them, your etc.

Proposition:                        

of, to, at, in, up, alongside etc.

Conjunction:                       

and, so, although

Interjection:                       

ah, ouch, eek, hi, etc.

Verb: 

Definition:

Verb describes the action and state or occurrence of any being.

Types:

Lexical/Ordinary/Action verb: Go, Like, Eat, Teach, read etc.
Auxiliary/Modal/Helping: is, are, were, have, can, would had etc.

Example:


She eats meal.
He plays with football.
Politics is Dirty Game.
He can play well


Verb: eats, plays, is, can are very in the above sentence.

Adverb:

Definition:

A word that modify or qualify an Adjective, Verb, and adverb or phrases etc.




  1. Adverb of manner
  2. Adverb of time
  3. Adverb of degree
  4. Adverb of place 
  5. Adverb of frequency

Adverb of manner:


Definition:

Tell how something happen, it come after the main verb or object.

Examples:

He can play well.
The horse run Swiftly.
She works on machine quickly.
The Bowler play the bowl speedily
